Amazing Package for Up!

How does the idea of being able to lease a brand new VW Up! for just the cost of a city car tyre each and every month sound to you?  That is the amazing bargain currently being offered in Germany for the £7,995 (€10,000) run-around.  

The VW Up! is set to be leased in its home nation for as little as just €95 (£82) per month to drivers in all age brackets.  The deal includes road tax, comprehensive insurance, breakdown assistance, servicing and even a Motor Warranty over the course of no less than three years, with the offer not even requiring a deposit.  The best news of all, at least as far as British drivers are concerned, is that VW bosses in the United Kingdom are apparently planning to offer a similar package on our shores as well.

"All you have to do is put fuel in it" notes VW marketing boss Luca de Meo, adding that the offer also extends even to the youngest drivers on the road, a stark contrast to some other similar schemes, including the popular Peugeot Just Add Fuel offer, which is offered at just £169 per month but which pointedly excludes drivers under the age of 25.  "This is the most important new car for the VW brand and we need new customers, especially young people" de Meo says.  

However, equivalent prices will not be confirmed until after insurance costs and residual values in the United Kingdom have been fully worked out.
