Cover air Conditioning With Warranty in Winter

Freezing temperatures are expected over the winter months in the United Kingdom as analysts predict both snow and brutal weather conditions in general.  Last year many parts of the country saw heavy snowfalls and there were a number of motor accidents and fatalities across most regions. 

In order to protect yourself against the winter weather and to prevent the risk of freezing in your own vehicle it is essential to ensure that your air conditioning system is in good working order.  Therefore, it is important to make sure that this is covered by your Motor Warranty– and if it is not, to then take out one that does. 

December 2010 was the coldest winter for around 100 years in the United Kingdom, and the Met Office has already given out severe weather warnings for this year.  The UK government has commenced a “Get Ready for Winter” campaign with the aim of helping the public get prepared for the extreme winter weather, and it is important for drivers to do the same.

Drivers can prevent getting caught in a traffic jam without any heating by making sure that their air conditioning system is working properly, while making sure that their motor warranty will cover them against any electrical or mechanical defects.  Problems with air conditioning can be very expensive to repair because of the many different components that operate within the system including the likes of condensers, electric motors, compressors, rheostats and thermostats.  In some cases such components cannot be reached without removing the entire dashboard, which further adds to the cost.
