New Ford Vehicles Come With Sophisticated Technology
The Ford Motor Company has revealed new plans for the development of smart-phone integration in-car technology for customers situated across Asia. The company is intending to enhance the driving experience by delivering new cars that will have incredibly sophisticated and intuitive technology that enables drivers to have access to emergency, entertainment and navigation services safely and easily via their cell phone.
"In today's world, people want to be connected at all times, and that includes when they are in the car" says the Director of the group, Ed Pleet. "So Ford developed SYNC, a class-leading system which offers a smarter, safer and simpler way to connect drivers with in-car technologies and their digital lives."
The technology was originally launched in North America four years ago back in 2007 but the manufacturer is now intending to take it to customers in the Asia Pacific region and in Africa. Ford believes that SYNC is the best voice activated connectivity system in the entire world because it allows drivers to be able to make hands-free phone calls with Bluetooth as well as control in-car entertainment with voice control, thus meaning the driver can keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the steering wheel at all times. At the moment, SYNC is available in Asia Pacific and in Africa via the Ford Edge range, but it will soon be available in the new Ford Focus as well.
In the past, a Ford Car Warranty has covered parts such as the electric sunroof and air conditioning, but owners need to be sure new warranties cover all the latest technologies too.
