Are all new Car Warranties the Same
Many consumers assume that if you have read one new Car Warranty, you have read them all. Nothing could be further from the truth. While most new Car Warranties do share certain characteristics, some of the details will always vary a bit. Even basic new car warranties may be a little different, depending on the dealer or the manufacture of the vehicle in question.
Because new car warranties are not always the same, this means that you as the buyer are responsible for reading the document through and through. Doing so will help to eliminate any misconceptions about what is and is not covered in the terms and conditions, while also helping to focus your attention on what you have to do in order to get the most from the warranty plan. Reading the warranty will also make it easier to ask questions now rather than finding yourself in a less than pleasant situation because you did not take the time to clarify some points within the document.
The need to read through new car warranties is even greater when buying extended cover. You want to know exactly what you are getting over and above the basic benefits provided by a standard or basic warranty. You also want to know what additional responsibilities you are taking on with that purchase. Do not make assumptions; find out exactly what is in the warranty before spending any money, and you can make a much better decision about whether to purchase the plan or make do with a basic new car warranty.
