Five most expensive supercars in 2017

If money was no object, what would be on your shopping list? For some it would be a huge mansion. Others, it would be an extravagant super yacht. But for petrolheads, there’s one thing that would be first on the list – a supercar. Here’s our list of the most expensive supercars you can buy in 2017, so if you do win the lottery, you can use it as your shopping list!

Koenigsegg Regera

Price: £1,542,420

Not only is this one of the most exclusive supercars on the planet, it’s also a plug-in hybrid. First unveiled in 2015, the Regera claims to be the most powerful and fastest accelerating production model ever. Its name translates as “to rule”. Only 80 have been built and half have been sold already. So be quick.

Bugatti Chiron

Price: £2,164,860

Bugatti describes their Chiron as the most powerful, most luxurious, most exclusive production super sports car. With just 500 produced, its also one of the most exclusive. Built in Alsace, France, the Chiron will accelerate from 0-60mph in under 2.5 seconds. Frighteningly fast.

Pagani Huayra BC

Price: £2,245,040

An upgrade on the original Huayra, the BC model has been designed to be more lightweight with a wider track and more aerodynamic capabilities. A fantastic upgrade to one of the best supercars in the world. And Pagani also reward its customers. The BC name refers to company founder Horacio Pagani’s first customer – Benny Caiola. So invest now and you could have a car named after you (but probably won’t).

Lykan Hypersport

Price: £2,726,120

Recently seen driving between buildings in Fast and Furious 7, the Lykan Hypersport is one of the first supercars to be produced in the ultra-rich Middle East. But if you are thinking of buying one, you’re probably out of luck. Only seven models were produced. You might have to check the classifieds for a secondhand model.

Aston Martin AM -RB 00

Price: £3,127,020

This street-legal racer is due out later this year and is expected to cause quite the stir. Developed in conjunction with the Red Bull Racing team, this lightweight carbon fibre supercar will make a mockery of motorways. But at its huge price, you might be a bit concerned about keeping the car pristine to risk it anywhere except for the most pristine roads.
