Hyundai unveils new Sante Fe
Hyundai has officially unveiled the brand new Sante Fe, which is set to go on sale at the close of this year. As was previously the case it is a seven-seater and also comes with a revamped version of the same 2.2-litre CRDi diesel engine that is in the current model, capable of a PS rating of 200 but giving off as little as just 145g per kilometre in terms of CO2 emissions. The price of the new Sante Fe is expected to kick off from around £25,000.
The new Sante Fe will also be receiving a brand new 2.0 CRDi engine with a PS rating of 150. This is likely to be front-wheel drive and will be given the badge of Blue Drive, being a low CO2 emissions vehicle. The standard gearbox will be a six-speed manual, although a six-speed automatic will also be available. Some countries have also made available a 2.4-litre petrol engine, though it seems unlikely that this will be on offer in the United Kingdom.
The design is a follow on from some of the more recent Hyundai models along the lines of the i30 and i40, but coming with an even more prominent grille. Named "Fluidic Structure" by Hyundai, the firm says that the brand new Sante Fe has been built to appear dynamic and strong with much more aggressive looks than the current version.
As is the case with all Hyundai models, the brand new Santa Fe will feature the Five Year Triple Care package that incorporates a five-year unlimited mileage Car Warranty.
