Lexus and Toyota fairest for car warranties
Lexus and Toyota share the top ranking for the fairest Car Warranty service provided in the United Kingdom in the new winter survey from the National Franchised Dealers Association. The results are a reflection of the views that are held by professionals from the retail motor industry all across the country.
The bi-annual study, a snapshot of performance and attitudes in the retail motor trade that is recognised by the industry - achieved its highest response so far with this latest survey, a sign of its importance as a business barometer. The survey results, which were published this week, show that Toyota has held onto its position as number one in terms of car warranty fairness, a position it has held since the winter survey of 2010, but that Lexus has moved up a point into joint first, having formerly been in second place behind its sister brand.
The survey is a reflection not just of the quality of the car warranty service that is provided under the protection package given to customers - 100,000 miles/five years for Toyota models, 60,000 miles/three years for Lexus vehicles - but also for the level of efficiency with which the car warranty claims are handled with the appropriate kind of technical support.
"The results of the latest NFDA survey are a great seal of approval for the way in which Toyota and Lexus conduct their warranty business" says the Managing Director and President of Toyota GB PLC, Jon Williams. "The survey reflects the view of dealers across the industry, not just Toyota or Lexus, making it an especially strong endorsement."
