The new Toyota Aygo
The Toyota Aygo was first launched around seven years ago back in 2005, offering Europeans a striking new alternative in terms of stylish urban mobility. The revolutionary design of the Aygo rejected the stereotype that small just meant pragmatic and economical and succeeded in redefining perceptions of just what small cars could be.
The Toyota Aygo received an extensive redesign at the close of 2008 and now another new model, an ECO version, is arriving, offering a vastly improved fuel economy rating and CO2 emissions of just 99g per kilometre. The new Toyota Aygo also gives outstandingly low ownership costs to customers, achieving superb insurance classifications in both Germany (15) and the United Kingdom (3E) which serve as a reflection of its extremely reasonable repair costs.
For extra peace of mind, the company is now also offering every new Aygo with a 100,000 kilometres or three year pan-European Car Warranty, as well as coming with corrosion cover of no less than 12 years.
With increasingly stringent environmental legislation and rising fuel prices, downsizing is the trend of the moment and analysis suggests that the increasingly fragmented and ever more competitive A-segment is one of the very few sectors of the automobile market that is actually expected to increase over the course of the next few years. More than 85,000 Aygos were sold by Toyota last year. The new Aygo will be available to buy throughout the whole of Europe from early spring
