Audi fuel finder

Audi drivers can now search for information about the prices and locations of the cheapest fuel stations while on the move.

The German automaker has launched a new fuel finder service across its European Audi A3 range, allowing motorists to stay one step ahead of the game.

Refuelling Stop, part of the Audi connect system, works by using an online database to search for the cheapest fuel station near the car's current location or planned destination. Drivers can even hunt for stations anywhere they like using a freely selectable location feature.

The chosen fuel station can then be set as a destination via the car's navigation system, directing the driver to the selected forecourt.

For the service to work it requires the company's MMI (Multi Media Interface) Navigation and optional online Bluetooth phone connectivity or the full Audi connect option in A3 models.

Audi, which says the Refuelling Stop feature even considers the specific type of fuel required by petrol and diesel-powered vehicles, is to expand the service into all models with Audi Connect from May.
