Does Your Car Warranty Include Tyre Coverage

Does Your Car Warranty Include Tyre Coverage Image

One of the first things to understand about any Car Warranty offered by a dealer is that the terms and provisions may vary from one situation to the next.  Some dealers offer warranties that are comprehensive, while others include warranties that cover the bare minimum.  This is true in a lot of areas, including the replacement of tyres under certain conditions.

In order to understand whether or not tyres are covered as part of the car warranty, take the time to read the document from beginning to end.  This is something that far too many customers never get around to doing until something goes wrong with the vehicle and the question arises of whether or not the issue is covered under the warranty.  Reading the document sooner rather than later places you in a position to ask a few pointed questions, including whether it is possible to obtain a more comprehensive warranty than the one being offered, and how much that extended car warranty would cost.

The idea is to make sure that among other things, your car warranty provides some protection in the event that the tyres are damaged through no fault of your own, or that some defect is detected in the tyres after the purchase is made.  New tyres are not cheap these days.  Even if you have to pay a little more for a warranty that includes tyre replacement under circumstances specified in the warranty text, one complete set of tyres for your new car will often justify that additional cost with ease.
