Dragons' Den star takes out warranty

Dragons' Den star takes out warranty Image

Theo Paphitis, one of the stars of BBC2's Dragons' Den, has taken out a 4,000 warranty on one of his most-treasured luxury cars.

The tough-talking entrepreneur took out the policy, which was presented to him by TV motoring expert Quentin Willson, on his 300,000 Maybach 62S.

Paphitis is a well-known lover of the luxury brand, acquiring his first Maybach car back in 2007.

The hi-spec 62S is based on the Benz Maybach concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show and is fitted with every possible gadget a successful businessman could want, including a Dunhill Maybach umbrella.

The 53-year-old customised his Maybach 62S with his well-known 'RYM4N' number plate before having the car covered in a chrome wrap.

However, realising the manufacturer's warranty was set to expire, the television star took out the 4,000 aftermarket warranty to give him that extra peace of mind.
