Back when you purchased your car, you made sure to compare different plans for auto warranty coverage and selected the one that was the best fit for you at the time.  Factors that you considered probably included how you planned on using the car, how many drivers of the household would make regular use of the vehicle and what type of budgetary restrictions had to be considered when purchasing the plan.  While you made the best choice for then, how is that choice working out now?

Over time, circumstances change.  People marry or divorce, have children, children grow up and leave home, income goes up or down.  Even the way you use your car may be different.  Where once you used it to travel to a job located an hour or more away, you may now work for a company that is within walking distance.  In short, your auto warranty coverage that was just right a few years ago may not be the best fit any longer.

Fortunately, there are things you can do to correct the situation.  In some cases, your current provider will allow you to switch to a different auto warranty coverage plan.  If no, then investigating some of the plans offered by independent providers may be a good approach.  Do not assume there is nothing you can do if the coverage is now too much or too little.  Investigate your options and make a decision that will make sure you have the warranty coverage you need at this stage in your life.  Doing so will make driving your car all the more pleasurable.
