A brand new agreement between British Gas and Vauxhall is set to reduce charging times for the Vauxhall Ampera by as much as up to two hours. 

British Gas' Director of New Ventures, Dan Taylor, says that "partnering with Vauxhall on powering their electric cars is a very exciting driver of growth for British Gas electric cars move into the mainstream.  With our network of engineers, we can help make buying an electric car accessible and convenient through specialist advice and the installation of charging points." 

The Chairman and Managing Director of Vauxhall, Duncan Aldred, says that the company's new partnership with British Gas will help to provide a huge benefit to customers who have a Vauxhall Ampera.  Aldred adds that the firm can now guarantee that new owners of Vauxhall Ampera vehicles will receive the very best possible advice in regards to efficient and safe charging of their cars completely free of charge.  He notes that the new development is also a complement to the company's already existing Ampera Customer Charter by providing customers with a bespoke service that is able to allow them to get the absolute best out of their vehicle. 

The British Gas Home Charging solution includes installation of a home charge point, a fast charge kit, three years worth of warranty on parts and labour - which has no effect on the Car Warranty of the Ampera itself - and another three years of Home Electrical Care for the entire house.
