Worry Over Lack of Car Insurance

Worry Over Lack of Car Insurance Image

A worrying number of drivers in the United Kingdom are taking their motor vehicles on the road without having adequate or in some cases any car insurance at all.  While many drivers take out auto warranty coverage on their vehicles, the number of drivers who are going out on the road without real motor insurance seems to be on the increase.  New figures show that as many as 1.7 million people went without any form of car insurance back in 2008, and there were even some areas in the United Kingdom where more than 10% of all drivers were driving without being insured.

Motorists are being reminded that car insurance is vital for providing necessary protection in the event of an accident that might require either or both repairs to the car itself or even emergency medical treatment for the driver.  Having car insurance is a way of making certain that whatever happens, no matter how unexpected or seemingly unlikely, the driver will always be equipped to handle it and any financial implications that could arise from such situations.

Drivers who go on the road with their motor vehicles without car insurance could find themselves facing unexpected and exorbitant costs, which they would be liable for the entirety of.  The protection of a comprehensive car insurance policy, on the other hand, would ensure that the driver would most likely only have to pay for the excess, with the policy covering the rest.
